FICTIONAL CASE STUDY
Context: KB Dental (fictional company) is a nationwide dental corporation that focuses on general dentistry and orthodontics, with over 3,000 dental professionals working in forty states within the United States.
Challenge: Over a 12-month timeframe, there was a 25% increase in accident reports. With the knowledge that certification and licensure of dental professionals vary between states combined with the rise in accident reports, the company determined a need for infection control training.
Solution: A design brief was developed and presented to the (fictitious) company. It represented a blended, online training program designed to review infection control for dental professionals as part of an onboarding process.
Result: The (fictitious) company hired us to further design and develop an 8-module course. Twelve months after the online training, the company saw a 30% decrease in accident reports. Staff surveyed found the infection control review helpful.
